Has Kim Jong-Il been dead since 2003?

Ever since Turkmenbashi bit the dust, Kim Jong-Il has been my favorite dictator. But could it be I've been following the career of a look-alike? If so, I'm torn between disapointment and excitement. Disapointment because we're losing so many world-class tyrants, and excitement because this goes far beyond Stalin's simple ploy of using one stand-in.
