The AICN link gives me the strongest sense of dread. I enjoy that members of the community, the nerdly ones, are so deeply and immediately involved in the rolling entertainment news industry, and i like that they seem to have some suction with the film industry. What i despise is their taste in films. The main contributors to AICN are like the retarded, incest produced, step-siblings of Pitchfork Media; they obsessively follow and gobble up what ever obtuse celluloid pellets are squatted out by whatever director is hot. They don't follow, not exclusively, art house or international directors, that bullshit and preferential treatment i know and expect. No, they just whore themselves and their, i will admit, damn sharp head meats for whatever is popular. and that saddens me because i remember a time, several years ago, when the site was smaller and the community wasn't overrun by asshats. I remember a time when AICN was replete with solid reviews and real news. But no more.
