Rock Band: Pearl Jam

Harmonix confirms they'll put out another stand alone game in the current trend of Rock Band: The Beatles.

Do we really need this kind of shit? The entire point of DLC is to make it so you can pick and choose the songs you want to play, and integrate them into your gaming experience. I can understand making an entire game around The Beatles. They're bigger than Jesus. But Pearl Jam? Do we get to play through their iconic career in the mid nineties when they saw Grunge rise and fall, then stuck around?

Until we see some innovation in the gameplay mechanics of these games, or a unique story that I'm excited to play through, I'm boycotting these games. In fact, the only bands I'd want to see unique games for are fictional bands like GWAR or Dethklok. There could be minigames and unique mechanics that make buying a different game an interesting decision.
