so, the person who wrote the essay this link concerns, jeffrey mcmanus, has commented on our blog. does that mean this comment thread has jumped the shark?
Just, wow, people. What Mr. Mcmanus certainly doesn't realize is that being called dude on this blog is one of the nicest things that anyone will get called. Brendan makes a valid comment... and then shark-mugging ensues. Really, the shark thing must end. It was old in 2005!. Don't make me pull this car over!

The idea of making money off of this seems like it's testing the 1,000 true fans theory on a larger scale.
Only the Whedon crazed fan boys like this show. A stranger to his work would find this a poor gateway.
