Hey Alan, I found this thing recently called a "link." You should google it.
He only has cursory knowledge of those as something that Rob used to fix on his posts.
I am often confused as to why Alan goes link crazy on some posts, with different links for each letter of a word (hyper metafilter style), and then doesnt even link URI's in plaintext on other posts. I assume that these posts are from a different machine on which his browser (firefox) has a linkify plug or script (so it shows as linked only to him) and he doesnt realize.
