Microsoft releases Songsmith

What is Songsmith?
Songsmith generates musical accompaniment to match a singer’s voice. Just choose a musical style, sing into your PC’s microphone, and Songsmith will create backing music for you. Then share your songs with your friends and family, post your songs online, or create your own music videos.

Let's overlook the critique this heap of digital shit offers of the preference and privilege Microsoft engineers assign to singers (not vocalists but singers) rather than EVERYONE ELSE WHO MAKES MUSIC. I just want to imagine this ad having a completely different opening, one that strays into "To catch a predator" territory, not because i'm into that kind of thing, but because i think Microsoft holds music creation in the same regard as child rape.

FAIL in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

That video was a four minute seventeen second collaborative shame spiral of epic proportions. I feel my time would have been better used if I watched a video that was nothing more of a mashup of the cast of The Core saying "unobtanium" for four minutes and seventeen seconds. Both would be equally humiliating for everyone involved, including the viewers, but at least you know the actors from the movie were paid considerably better. I hate everyone involved with that video, and myself for watching the whole thing. You are a bad man Alan.
