The only thing this loyal colonial citizen fails to take into effect is how a break with the cylons would be practical. Surely we can't just have a civil accord with them and break the news. While the cylon baseship is lacking in raiders, it still does have main guns that could easily be focused on galactica. And at the first sign of Galactica manuevering into a combat position I believe the Cylons would react in a way our consistent human minds may not be able to fathom. The odds are 50/50 that they would jump away, or engage Galactica in a suicidal last stand. The Cylons are not afraid to die and this is a danger to the fleet regardless of whether they're on our side, or actively antagonizing us.
